It has been family owned since 1954, and ARAG’s founding principle was that everyone should have equal access to justice – regardless of their financial situation or status.
With more than 5,000 employees, the Group generates revenue and premium income totalling roughly €2.4billion.
Its responsibilities include the strategic management of all ARAG Group and service companies as well as the management of legal insurance business operations in Germany and in the international markets. Branches, subsidiaries and affiliated companies are responsible for the legal insurance business in their respective markets, which they manage autonomously and in accordance with national requirements.
ARAG applies the experience acquired since 1935 to continually develop the Group both in its home market and at an international level.
