Responsible for selling ARAG Before-The-Event (BTE) products and services into the corporate distribution chain, including insurers, MGAs and intermediaries. Exercising a detailed understanding of the wider insurance market & distribution channels to accurately interpret and understand the needs of corporate customers and to effectively respond to all tender opportunities with a suitable business proposal and presentation.

Also responsible for the profitable service provision, maintenance, growth, and retention of the existing corporate portfolio.

Your tasks

  • Personal Sales Achievement:
    the Corporate Account Manager will ensure individual achievement against prevailing sales and renewal targets for the corporate book of business. The Manager will seek to achieve growth of Net Written Premium (NWP) by identifying profitable business opportunities with new and existing partners. The Manager will develop and maintain their own pipeline of prospects for new business and will generate opportunities by having effective communication with target agents and existing business partners. The Manager will adhere to agreed targets for new business calls, appointments and quotes. The Manager will collaborate on responses and presentations for formal and informal tenders and large business opportunities.
  • Customer Service:
    maintain frequency of customer contact, maintain & promote the ARAG brand & act as first point of contact for all customer queries. The Manager will be responsible for effectively maintaining and developing relationships with existing agents, including the following activity:
    • handling day to day service queries
    • providing training and support
    • managing and conducting regular review meetings.
    • arranging and providing regular MI
  • Product Knowledge:
    apply knowledge & understanding of insurance market & product features, exclusions & warranties to develop an appropriate product specification for each customer. The Manager will be expected to have a good understanding of FCA Conduct Risk requirements. The Manager will assess the suitability of schemes and products to ensure they are suitable for the demands and needs of the agent(s) and their target market.
  • Compliance:
    ensure activities are carried out in line with stipulated processes, procedures & authority limits – including training of relevant stakeholders within the portfolio.
  • Communication:
    work effectively with all stakeholders (internal & external) to ensure customers’ needs are fulfilled & that the ARAG product mix is appropriate to these needs.
  • Reporting:

    ensure all information within the company’s CRM system(s) is maintained and is reflective of sales/account management activity.
  • Learning & Development:

    take responsibility for own learning needs & objectives.  Work closely with colleagues to progress knowledge & skills base.

Your profile

Minimum Education & Experience
Essential Desirable
Degree education &/or ACII qualified (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years successful B2B sales & account management experience within the insurance industry.

Proven experience of winning formal business Tenders and of winning and managing large corporate accounts.
Understanding of other business functions, regulatory requirements & ISO standards e.g., environmental, IT

Proven detailed knowledge of Legal Expenses Insurance
